Metric Fastener Chart
We manufacture Metric Socket Cap Screws in socket heads ( DIN 912), button heads (DIN 7380), flat heads (DIN 791), partial threads and full threads. All of our metric socket screws can be manufactured in Alloy steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminim and with a variety of finshes such as Anodized aluminum or Black oxide.
Metric fasteners material, head style, and type are described similar to US/Standard fasteners. However, instead of threads per inch or (TPI), the metric system uses something called (Thread Pitch – the length of each thread in millimeters measured along the shaft of the bolt). The thread pitch is written between the diameter and length (both measured in millimeters) and is separated on each side by an X.
Typically the diameter of a metric bolt is preceded by a capital M to designate metric.
Note: Metric fasteners may also be specified by DIN number. The DIN number specifies a particular set of standards that the bolt adheres to.
For metric threads Ex: M1.6, the number following the M is the major diameter of the external thread in millimeters.
Metric Fine Thread Fasteners are An externally threaded fastener with metric threads, a cylindrical head with a flat chamfered top surface.
